Welcome to brainstormingcognitive.wikispaces.com. This is my new wikispace intended to be an opportunity for collaborative exchange on the topic of designing web access to individuals with cognitive disorders. I'm teaching a number of students this year who are struggling in most content arenas due to cognitive challenges. This has proven to be most challenging since they have developed other undesirable coping skills to get around having to participate in classroom activities.

If a website will appeal to a broad audience that includes individuals with cognitive disabilities, then the website should be designed with those individuals in mind. Features that make websites easy to comprehend and navigate for everyone are often the most helpful for people with cognitive disabilities.
